weekend countdown

hehe... how many more weekends till school starts? the countdown begins... i'm excited to go back.. and at the same time i dun want summer to end... its been so much fun this summer... so many new things... changes... reconnecting with old friends... i dun think i've been closer to my friends than now... thx
... now... i also have to admit i enjoy my home a lot more now that i have a room... perhaps i always dreaded home was because i didnt have a room... i guess my mom had a point in giving me a room back ... so sweet...
... well.. now i'll look forward to coming home the first long weekend (thanksgivings)... but.. b4 i'm gone... i still have 2 more exciting weeks.. bachelorette coming up this weekend... and the wedding day the next!!! ... its all finally coming together...

there's the almighty janine!!! hehe... going on the field after the game was so much fun... its artificial turf... i've played with enough of them while working at BBB... but now.. i get to walk on a field of them.. its different... its very real... just the little black tuff gets into your shoes... other than that... its good stuff :)

2 July's

yes... there are 2 July' this year... i'm not lying.... its true...

according to the chinese lunar calendar... (ahhh... u must all be saying)

who pays attention to lunar calendars?.. hehe.. well.. if your b-day... chinese b-day is in july.... my mom's is... july 22.. thats today... so.. lucky her.. she actually has 3 b-days this year... the regular western one... and 2- july 22nds.... the next one is in mid september... since today is the only one i will be here to celebrate with her... we had a big family dinner... had some really good food.. dad's treat of course... my sis and i were responsible for the cake and flowers... :P

but... funny fact is.. not every month gets doubled.. i know it never happens for May... thats what my mom said... too bad for me.... why was i born in May? sucks totally.... i want more presents ><

nothing is what it seems... and one cannot judge anything with their eyes.... eyes tell lies.. and are misleading.... one must use all other senses.... of all the senses... the eyes tell u the least .... listen with your heart.... the world will be much clearer when u close your eyes to see the world through your other senses... (i've heard all this from somewhere... i didnt make it up... but.. i think its true).... so.. apples are not just apples... da vinci code anyone? haha

absolute world ~ MAD idea? ~ muahaha

other than google, which i love, wikipedia must be next in line...yesterday i visited the showroom for the absolute world towers (north and south)... i havent been following up too closely to what they designs were for this MAD (get it?) idea in the middle of mississauga... (as closely as i should)... well.. anita and i were discussing the other day about it... and we realized the sales release was last weekend...(well.. end of july weekend)... since i was at the bridal shower.. i couldnt make it.. although it was only down the street from it... (what coincidence)

anyways... we both decided it was only the right thing to check out our competition... why it won... what was so special... well...i went yesterday... and...i'll make no comments... ppl can see for themselves...

there are no suite plans and stuff... and even in the plans... there's nothing about the architecture of it... the only good thing in the brochure is.... the 1 inch image of my design... muahaha.... i was surprised to see it in there... actually.. i think it was my sis who spotted it... and then.... my parents went nuts... sigh...

anyways.... my parents does a lot of condo shopping... or browsing.. and... i get my interest from them... not so much to buy in this case... but see what/where the market it... and. this is nuts... $400/sq.ft.... in mississauga?.. what the.... for the same price, u can get a unit double the size in richmond hill... i dun think even north york is that expensive....

anyways... the plans are quite traditional... uses the same design concepts anita and i were using... cuz we had somewhat circular plans too... but... i suppose the most impressive about these towers is the balconies... TOM, you're so right!... (i wish i didnt have to say that).... but BALCONIES are so important... its what makes them sell... i kinda doubted him at first... but i realize now... although it may not be used often... its one of those things ppl will do anything to get... even if its just to show it off... haha

so... here's my weekend recap...
i dun like doing summaries of what i did over the weekend... the point of this blog is not that... if u want to know... ask me... muahaha

so... it was a festive weekend.. by that i mean... it is the last longweekend till labour day.. its funny how that is the last long weekend.. but i'm always moving that weekend.. i dun consider it as a holiday.... anyways...

so.. this is it... the last one to go all out and have a blast... i suppose... and.. i'm glad it was packed with activities... i think i did everything i would ever have wanted/wished to do... well.. i have no expectation... i never do... i'm not that hard to please.... but... i've been dying to see the mcmaster mathematics building by kpmb: http://www.kpmbarchitects.com/jamesstew.html

it was fun exploring it... sneaking in... (well. it wasnt even sneaking... the doors were open.. there was no "do not trespass") ... except "someone" felt uneasy.. muahaha.. no names here.... so.. enjoyed going through the spaces.. seeing how they transformed it... it was hard to take decent pics without a wide lens... but... i'm sure most of u have see pics of this place... i really liked what they did with all the chalk boards.... and how they made use of them in the hallway... black and white look so good!!! it just nevers goes out of date!

so... a day with the girls... is just what i need to keep balance... hehe... they always make me soft and tingly on the inside .... look at how cute the 2j's are smiling... they look so happy together... so happy for them... after a long couple of days of partying... i'm really exhausted... i think i'm getting old... or that my body is really weak... well... a couple days of rest... and i'll be up and running for more fun next weekend!!! as to what that is... i duno :P.... i never plan anything... muahahaha... instantaneous is the way to be ... ttyl

leone is back for the weekend... and so happy she was able to fit us into her busy busy schedule!!!...its seems like forever from the last time i saw leone.... i do miss the good times we use to have... all the laughter...last night made me remember all the silly jokes... name callings... and how gullable i am :P

anyways... until we meet again!!! next time i will be less gullable!

i think its worth it... its so beautiful... especially at night... during the day.. they look really colorful on the lawn.. but kinda awkward... but in the mysterious night... when all u see are the floating lanterns against the darkness... it all comes to life!!! i love the little animals the most.. the pandas... hehe.. so cute... we spent a lot of time there... i took my tripod... got all set up... and took many good pics... like the ones below: (enjoy)

and now the pandas... there's so many... so cute.. so cuddly...and. ... i love how they arranged them around a pond... with waterfall.. and trees... just like their habitat.. hehe

Bridal Shower

This is the first ever bridal shower we've organized... and.. the first one i've been to...

but.. it really was a lot of much fun... so tiring.. but so much fun... its gave us so much time to hang out... the girls i mean... from shopping for supplies... to making the little gifts earlier.. to making the invitations... testing the drinks.. laura and i getting drunk... to buying groceries... making the food... sleeping over at janines... driving to mississauga... almost getting run over by stupid cars.... and... overcoming the battle to "talk to the guests".. hehe...

the best was janine.. and her family.. letting us use their house... their kitchen.. her wonderful sauna.... ah.... thinking about it still feels good..

so..the party turned out really well.. everyone enjoyed themselves....makes us all feel good :) ... and time for some pics:

and.. the bride ... and the bridesmaids....left to right... kristy, rachel, laura (bride), me, janine, and agnes..... and.. we're missing lindsay... or else it would have been perfect... well. its still perfect... we all look great!!!
