December 27th ~ response to high demand...

ok... just to brief... yes.. this is me you're looking at...
not that i'm afraid of my silly-ness in pyjama selection... but you are in fact looking at cylyna making a cake!!!

yes... i never knew i can bake also... it just goes to show its not unachievable!!! and if u try... u can do it!

anyways... here's my attempt... and trust me.. this was my first time...and probably my last!

i'm glad my sis took proof of the EVENT!!! ... so.. here we go:

first the baking of the 'sponge cake'... and the slicing into layers after the cool down...
ok.. just to clarify... there was 2 cakes that we made... the larger one in the first photo... and... this smaller one now... so 'no'... i'm not cheating you all!!!... ok so, this part is applying the chocolate/coffee cream fillers between the sponge layers...
the chocolate coating.... (pay attention to the birth-mark on the hand... a sign of cylyna... as vicky says.. its proof its really me)
and yes... thats another coffee layer... then a final chocolate coat will be applied on top
and.. voila!!! and then into the fridge to freeze!!!
and.. the final decorations ... :P
i'm glad it looked pretty at least... (the taste... according to the tasters... very good too!!)

now.. a round of applause to cylyna and mui!!!! yay!!!!

its an article about 'holding hands'... the theory is interesting...
to translate simply... its talking about which hand you use to hold your partner... "left" vs "right"... since most ppl are right dominant...if u use your right hand to hold your partner's left hand... than you will give up 'freedom' to hold your partner... so... here's the question... which hand do u use?... or your partner uses?

i think there's truth behind it... of course some ppl work well with both hands.. so.. its not so much which one is more dominant... but either way... its worth considering ...(ponder on)

Life drawing ~ final session this term

so here it is... the piece after the last session this term:

i dont think i am done... there's so parts i'm not quite happy with yet... so.. i'll be working on it some more next term... then.. i will begin incorporating it into my thesis... using it as my exploratory studies... :P (since it was suggested by laura i give some description... i guess i will try to do so..)

as u can see.. body parts are flying all over the place... but if u look carefully... the position its in now... the women figure is upright... while the man is horizontal... the canvas was set up this way, so the two figures would cross at 90 degrees... perpendicular.. (as oppose to last year both figures were parallel on the same orientation)

then... it is hard to say how i went about doing what i did... more just intuition.. the model poses.. then i pick a spot..and start drawing... i guess i get drawn to certain details as you can see how i've repeated the areas i like... i really love the spine... and... the collar bone... both really lovely to draw...

now below some interesting areas i see differently now that its captured on photo: this.. i'm really amazed at the thighs near the bottom... especially the one with red/purples/blues... i'm surprised how 3D that looks...
this... somehow is interesting.. i dunno how to describe...
this.. just interesting relations... overlaps ... and movement... multiple vantage points... very cubist :P
