HK 2008 ~ Macau ~

a sunday in macau:

spent mostly visiting the hotel strips in the asian las vegas.... checking out the new hotels/casinos... (which werent around last year!!!).. such a big difference in just one year...

such as the venetian:

crazy main hall with all the escalators... can u count how many? a little over done?
here.. the water is a little too blue.. haha

anyways... if its anything like the real venice... its the tourisy maze of shops... filled with tourists and souvenir boutiques... the hotel is incredibly huge... and.. i did get lost.. very much like the real venice...

then... a switch in location brings us to the other shore.. with hotels like wynn/mgm/lisboa...

the seaside is really nice... it was a beautiful day.. a little too bright out.. and really hot... there are too few trees... making it a hot desert...

the crazy new tower of lisboa casino... it was still half complete last year... now.. the exterior is 99% complete... it still looks unreal...

as u can see.. very few ppl chose to walk around outside in the sun... i was a rare one... not interested in gambling... its much better to walk around the city... its too bad i didnt get to taste another portuguese tart :P

(i know janine can always make me another one.. right?... hehe)

HK 2008 ~ Stanley Beach ~

once again... i'm in hk... its been over a week now...
but.. raining so much this year.. and.. i got sick shortly after arriving... i'm slowly getting better.. the flu viruses are soooo strong now... very hard to get out of it... and the horrible hk weather and pollution doesnt help...

but.. i'm enjoying it as much as i can.. i'm back this time really just to visit good friends.. ppl i've missed this past year...

thx to steven last saturday.. we went to stanley.. enjoyed a good afternoon and a wonderful seafood dinner :)
(i thought i was on mars... hehe)

guess what this is?... i like it somehow.... i think its because its very architectural..

so.... next week... i'll be heading up to china.. i dun think i'll be able to do any posting till i'm back in hk... which is a good 3 solid weeks... after that.. i'm not sure how many posts i'll have to do till i can completely update my adventures.. haha

June 12th ~ Convocation! yay!

yay.. i'm finally done!!! here's the proof:

i'm very happy to have my whole family with me... and... they were even happier than i was.. when i got the AIA medal.... its all good :)

as for me now.. i just arrived in HK today... i cant wait till all the excitment starts... funfun fun... just hope the rain stops coming.. although it does keep temperatures a little cooler than usual...

anyways... trying to sleep... overcome the jetlag!
