recap... july 29-aug 5

hehe... its been a while since i've blogged... well.. one week.. (not that bad)

but.. this week has passed by rather quickly.. somehow time just slip by .. another 3 weeks.. and i'll be home! so.. recap time:

last sunday, family gathering.... the highligh.. another baby cousin!!!

playing mahjong/watching tv!!! (so young yet already picking up the family favorite activities)
then.. starring at me :P (already knows he likes pretty girls ... haha) so.. he's quite cute.. so active... not even 2 years old.. but is quite big for his age? very heavy...

so. rest of week.... just lots of dinner parties... and golf one night... and shopping... saturday... went to see a documentary:

i really enjoyed edward burtynsky's work exhibited at the national gallery a few years ago... and with the same collection of works, a documentary called "manufactured landscapes" was produced....

the work showed images of scenes unimaginable... yet these very scenes have resulted from us, from allowing us to live the way we do... u cannot picture it can u? what edward tries to do is connect this loop for us.. connect us from extraction mines to manufacturing of parts to assembly plants to us/cities and finally to waste... these human activities has changed the face of the earth completely... its like challenging nature against the power of men...

ok... enough bs... if u like this stuff.. i highly recommend... if u dont.. u should still watch it.. and be aware of how much damage we are all putting on our future (that is if we will have one.... hard to say at this rate)... not to be pessimistic... edward does mention "we need a change in ppl's mindset" which i agree and.. i believe can be done...

i'm always optimistic that earth/nature has its miraculous ways of fixing itself if we allow it to do its job!!!!
