December 27th ~ response to high demand...

ok... just to brief... yes.. this is me you're looking at...
not that i'm afraid of my silly-ness in pyjama selection... but you are in fact looking at cylyna making a cake!!!

yes... i never knew i can bake also... it just goes to show its not unachievable!!! and if u try... u can do it!

anyways... here's my attempt... and trust me.. this was my first time...and probably my last!

i'm glad my sis took proof of the EVENT!!! ... so.. here we go:

first the baking of the 'sponge cake'... and the slicing into layers after the cool down...
ok.. just to clarify... there was 2 cakes that we made... the larger one in the first photo... and... this smaller one now... so 'no'... i'm not cheating you all!!!... ok so, this part is applying the chocolate/coffee cream fillers between the sponge layers...
the chocolate coating.... (pay attention to the birth-mark on the hand... a sign of cylyna... as vicky says.. its proof its really me)
and yes... thats another coffee layer... then a final chocolate coat will be applied on top
and.. voila!!! and then into the fridge to freeze!!!
and.. the final decorations ... :P
i'm glad it looked pretty at least... (the taste... according to the tasters... very good too!!)

now.. a round of applause to cylyna and mui!!!! yay!!!!

july 28 ~ macau part 1

first of all... this trip is in honor of mary... its her b-day weekend!!! yay!!!!
happy birthday to her!!! and for that we go to macau!
on the boat.... look at us.. friday after work... sooo happy :)

the first thing we did was check into hotel.. and then hop over across the street to this new harbour place... i think its like.. "fisherman's wharf"... its like.... uh??? what??? ancient greece/rome in macau???!!?? (ya... very hilarious)
looks somewhat nice at night... i cannot imagine in the day... (it will look fake)
then.. after dinner... we browsed some new hotels... this is pic taken outside wynn...looking at lisboa... lots of fancy lights at night... pretty!!!!... then after a few casino visits.. we settled at a bar to toast mary on her big day... then...back to hotel golden dragon... to bed!!!!

after a good night sleep... waking up for lunch... we head to taipa (i think thats the english name).. for some crab congee.. yum!

march 2nd ~ sigh ~

why sigh?... well... if u had a laptop as shitty as mine... you'll be sighing... maybe i should stop calling names... perhaps it'll actually do its job... well... whats the problem... its the power socket... i dunno who designed this.. but just by the looks at it.. u can tell there are serious problems.. obviously those designing it have not realized that cantilevering cannot be held up by a 'solder' joint... duh!!!

anyways.. i've taken apart my laptop... yes.. me... twice tonight... first.. time.. i thought i had fixed it.. so.. reassembled it back... only to find out that it was loose again... alright.. fine.. i was mad, but maybe i was inexperienced.... so i attempted yet again... this time.. very carefully doing a good job... and it was a good joint... soldered well.. hard.. stiff... let it cool ... then put the laptop together ... so.. u would think after 2 times... it would be fixed... and.. what do i find out...?

the joint falls apart AGAIN!!!! ... well.. i think right now... i'm just gonna leave it... i'll fix it only when i really have to... its only cus its loose that the power sometimes charges battery.. sometimes doesnt... so.. i'll just work with it... be good to it... and.. hopefully it'll be good to me...

there is serious design problems with how the socket is held in place... the wire/plug that u attached is way to big... heavy ... and the LITTLE part that's inside the laptop that holds the plug is way to small... in terms of balance... just a little common sense would tell u that the heavy side will weigh things down.. thus causing the LITTLE part to tip towards the heavy part.. and come loose.... geez.. doesnt take a wiz to figure it out...

so... after all this venting... it does the problem no good... just wanted to say how many shitting products are out on the market today.. and... u just CANNOT... (no matter how hard u try).. avoid buying something that is shitty... why are ppl so irresponsible?... this is why we have garbage... (ok.. i'll stop... or else i'll end up bashing everything..)

so.. what do i need right now?... a nice massage would be nice... definitely cheer me up... or... just someone to lend a hand to me... and... practically this week has been shitty... and the only thing that lifted my spirits.. see below:

my new boots!!! i absolutely love them!.. it was time.. i broke my boots (ten years old... so long.. bye bye)... i really did some bad damage to them last week in italy... so.. here.. my replacement :)

its actually a really good price for leather boots... its so soft.. u have to feel it... the quality is amazing... and.. price too ... ok.. just talking about this makes me all happy again... i need more of this... (looks like its shopping for me tomolo... haha.. joking)

oh... i should also take the opportunity to wish some happy birthdays...

8th - janine... i'm glad jay is back for your birthday... looks like you'll have souvenirs and b-day presents... sweet!!!

we've had a busy weekend... in zurich... i had way too much fun... now still tired from it... still working on the photos to blog... just wait wait.... be patient... (yes leone... i know u still have patience... and i know exactly what u mean about talking to blank faces..)... i will have the photos up asap!!! plus.. if i dont do it soon.. it'll be the weekend again.. this time... its vals and davos!!! thermal baths and ski trip!!! hehe...
